Bookish Book Times: How to Completely Organize Your Bookshelf

img_1747

Is your bookshelf stuffed with books, or in other cases, do you want to re-organize your bookshelf?

Everybody who owns books and a bookshelf can relate to the fact that once or twice, it’s going to need cleaning. You could have at least fifteen books, and your bookshelf would sooner or later stop looking neat, and then you’ll know it’s your cue to clean it and organize it.

But then again, a little question, what exactly should I clean?

So we here at Bookish Book Times thought of that, and we’re here to help you get that bookshelf of yours looking aesthetically pleasing again. Because, who hates aesthetically pleasing things?

So without any more rambling, let’s get going!

If you have a large bookshelf, then I’d suggest to look through the books that you read more frequently, and keep those. The books that you have that are just basically shoved in the back of your bookshelf, those are the books that you should donate to a charity and give away.

You don’t even have to give them to charity, you can give them to a younger sibling. If you aren’t reading the book at all and have lost all interest in it, there’s no point in keeping it in the bookshelf.

Clearing out the books that aren’t of your interest anymore will definitely make room for the new upcoming books.

Helping the first point, if you completely empty out your shelves, then you’ll be blue to get a definite idea, because you’ll be able to see each and every book that you want to keep and the books that you want to give away.

Plus, you’ll be able to dust and wipe down the bookshelf, which is probably all dusty and dirty from all the times you’ve neglected cleaning it.

So go ahead, and kill two birds with one stone. Figuratively, not literally.
And last but not least, put them in categories. You’re not going to want to have to shuffle through them looking for one book, that would be useless time wasted.

Organize, so it’ll be easier.

And that’s all I have today for Bookish Book Times, so thank you for joining us today!

  1. Great post! I actually just purchased bookshelves, and am currently organizing them, but I honestly never would have cleaned them out in the future had I never seen this post. Thank you for this! ❤
